01 / NO-PREP & MINIMAL-PREP
No-prep means bonding a thin ceramic veneer without first reshaping the tooth. Minimal preparation adjusts only the areas needed for the planned shape, shade and bite.

Individually planned
Reshaping only where needed
Teeth that overlap or project forward may need selected areas reshaped. The amount depends on tooth position, colour and the design.

Preparation creates room for the restoration. Depending on its depth, dentine may be exposed and sensitivity can occur.

05 / TREATMENT JOURNEY
ZERONATE at TU Dental usually involves three visits; some treatment plans may need as few as two. The first visit, including imaging, examination and consultation, takes about two hours. Fabrication takes an average of 10 business days after the design and final digital scan are confirmed. This is not the total time from the first consultation to final bonding. Tooth condition, preliminary treatment, design changes, fabrication and appointment availability can affect the overall schedule. Tell us your preferred completion date at your consultation.
Share clear, unedited photos of your teeth and any X-rays you already have. Tell us what you would like to change, any previous dental treatment, your preferred language and your travel dates. Photos help us prepare for your consultation; the final assessment takes place in person.
Allow time for a final check of your bite and comfort. Before leaving, ask for your care instructions, treatment records, recommended check-up schedule and how to contact us if you have concerns after returning home.
Your dentist examines your teeth, reviews panoramic X-rays and dental photos, and discusses the shape and colour you would like. A digital scan helps with planning.
Review the proposed shape, proportions and fullness of your smile. Your dentist assesses preparation for each tooth, helps you choose a shade and takes a final digital scan before the veneers are made.
The lab makes your veneers to the agreed design. Your dentist tries them on to check the fit, shade, bite and overall appearance before bonding them in place, removing excess adhesive and adjusting your bite.
Regular check-ups assess your bite, gums, veneer bonds and oral hygiene. Continue brushing, cleaning between your teeth and attending professional care as recommended by your dentist.
Same-day treatment may be possible in some cases, but suitability depends on your chosen option and individual treatment plan.

TU CARE+ provides aftercare for a period that varies by ZERONATE option. Follow-up checks look at your bite, gum health, the bond between each veneer and tooth, and oral hygiene.
Ask what your aftercare includes, any exclusions and any additional fees. The care period does not guarantee how long your veneers will last or include unlimited free retreatment.
Brush regularly, clean between your teeth and attend dental check-ups. Avoid biting hard objects with your front teeth. If you have persistent pain, swelling, or a chipped or loose veneer after returning home, arrange an in-person examination with a local dentist. Photos can help us understand your concern, but cannot replace an examination.

09 / FAQ
No-prep veneers are not suitable for every tooth. Your dentist will check the position and colour of your teeth, your bite and the changes you want to assess the thickness and shape of the planned veneers. The same assessment applies to ZERONATE at TU Dental; some teeth may need a small amount of reshaping. Tooth structure that is removed cannot grow back, so ask your dentist whether each tooth needs preparation and how much before starting treatment.
Read about suitability for no-prep veneers ↗Veneers are a category of treatment using thin restorations bonded to the front of teeth to improve colour and shape. ZERONATE is TU Dental’s premium laminate veneer brand, built on a philosophy of preserving natural teeth. Treatment involves assessing how much natural tooth can be preserved, previewing the shape and proportions, custom fabrication, bonding and regular care. ZERONATE does not always mean no preparation: the need for preparation and its extent are determined by an individual examination.
Learn about ZERONATE at TU Dental ↗Adding a veneer can make a large or forward-positioned tooth more prominent. The smile preview checks length, proportions and volume against your face, so the dentist can plan any selective reshaping before fabrication.
See diagnosis, design and fabrication ↗No-prep describes how the tooth is treated before bonding. If a veneer is removed later, the tooth and any further care need to be assessed separately. Enamel that was removed during preparation does not grow back.
See diagnosis, design and fabrication ↗After veneer treatment, you may experience tooth sensitivity or gum discomfort, and veneers can chip or come loose. Tooth decay and gum disease should be treated first. Your dentist will also consider grinding, clenching or a deep bite when assessing whether veneers are suitable and planning your care. If you have pain, an uncomfortable bite or a loose veneer after treatment, see a dentist to find out what is causing it.
Read about veneer risks and what to do ↗How long veneers last depends on your teeth, the bond, your bite, daily habits and care. Replacement is based on an assessment of the veneers, neighbouring teeth and gums, rather than a fixed number of years. Brush and clean between your teeth regularly, and avoid biting hard objects with your front teeth. Check-ups look for chips, loose veneers, decay and gum problems.

See the treatment steps from consultation to fitting ↗Same-day ZERONATE treatment may be possible, depending on your chosen option and the condition of your teeth, but it is not suitable for everyone. Your dentist will check whether you need any treatment beforehand and how long it will take to design and make your veneers, then confirm your appointment schedule. If your stay is short, contact us before booking your trip.
Read about same-day ZERONATE and appointment planning ↗Sometimes, yes. Your dentist will check how the two teeth would look alongside the others, including their width, length, colour and how they meet when you bite. Treating more teeth does not necessarily give a more natural result. If your teeth need to move, or two veneers would not give balanced proportions, your dentist will discuss options such as orthodontic treatment before recommending how many teeth to treat.
